Detailed Air Separation & Its Spare Parts Description
The air separation plant applies the flow process of low pressure and double rectification to generate oxygen and nitrogen based on a cryogenic cycle. Inside the cold
box, the process flow is low pressure, they are all made of aluminum, so the process
is advanced and with the character of stable, easy to maintain, easy to operate,
and in reasonable prices. We can supply a set of air separation plant with a normal - temperature molecular sieve purification system, reverse cycle process, air - turbine expander. It has been proved already that the design and manufactory
of this kind air separation has reached the highest level of Chinese domestic market.
The purification system consists of two vertical vessels which are operating alternately. At the same time, another one will
start to purifier the passing air.
When the absorb capacity of molecular sieve in one bed is exhausted, the
bed will be changed into regeneration state. Regeneration step uses waste nitrogen comes
from cold box.
The feed air is freed from dust and other mechanical impurities by air filter, and
then compressed by piston air compressor. Hereinafter is the brief introduction of process flow. After that, the process air passes
through the after - cooler and enters into the air pre - cooling unit. Coming out from the pre - cooling unit, the saturated air enters into the
purification system to remove moisture, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon etc. The feed air
is cooled down to 8 centigrade in the pre - cooling unit and removed majority of free
water.
The purified air enters into the main heat exchanger, and is liquefied. But, before the waste nitrogen enters into the purifier system,
it will be heated by electrical heater. Through the
throttling valve, it is led to the bottom of the column. After heat
and mass exchange, the content of nitrogen in the rising gas is increased. In the rectification
column, the rising gas is touched by counter - flowing liquid completely. And
in the top of column, there is only pure nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen is drawn out as the counter - flowing
liquid of the upper and lower column. The gaseous pure nitrogen
rises into boiler where it is condensed; meanwhile the liquid oxygen in the upper
column is evaporated.
The eligible oxygen coming from the rectification column is led into oxygen compressor.
Later on, it needs to be cooled and to remove the water and finally becomes
product oxygen.
Out from the different part of the lower column, passing through sub - cooling, the
liquid nitrogen and liquid air enters into the different part of upper column to
take part in the rectification. After heated for a little bit, it
is drawn out from exchanger and goes into air- turbine expander. Waste nitrogen is drawn out from the top of upper
column and enters into main heat exchanger. Because of the
expansion, the waste nitrogen generates enough cooling for the ASU. Finally, the waste nitrogen passes the electrical heater
and goes into purifier system works as regeneration gas for purification system. After be expanded, it enters into the main heater exchanger again where the majority of its
cooling is exchanged.
