Detailed TPMS Description
Features:
a) The primary cause of a tire blow - out is a gradual loss of air often as the result
of poor maintenance or control of tire inflation pressure
b) Tire Pressure Monitoring System () has been developed to deal with just this
problem
c) Continuously takes extremely accurate measurements of tire inflation pressure and
informs the driver as soon as even the most minor deviations in inflation pressure
+ / - 0.1 bar are detected. It measures
the current inflation pressure on the basis of the tires temperature
e) At the same time, the sensor checks wheel speed. This ups driving safety
d) With TPMS a pressure and temperature sensor is affixed to each wheel. This information is electronically
transmitted to the receiver module
f) If the inflation pressure falls below a critically defined value, TPMS alerts the driver
by means of a signal lamp on the instrument panel
